why hello there and thanks for stopping by, in case you haven’t noticed I haven’t exactly had a whole lot to say for the last ohh….. five months or so.  So how about I bring you back up to speed on what’s been going on.  I’m back to working one and only one job, back in April I took a sales position with a metal recycling firm based out of Norcross.  It’s defintely not your average normal job, but lets face it, if you know me then you know that I’m not exactly your run o’ the mill average normal guy.  But had you told me ten years ago that I would one day be working a job that had me in steel toed boots and working w/ some of the oddest (even for me they’re odd) strangest crackheads, meth addicts and general all aroung just weird people in the world and being happy doing so…..well I’d have told you that you were the one that was crazy.  However it’s true, I’m actually enjoying doing what I do every day and (hold on to your hats there) I’m getting to ride as often as I please again!
So let’s talk about some riding, I had to bail on a lot of early season races this year.  Trans Iowa that I was so wanting to do got bumped b/c I hadn’t had the time to train and didn’t have the money to travel to Tennesee much less Iowa.  Bakers Dozen got rained out on the weekend that I had planned on competing in the solo single speed class and I couldn’t make the make up date the next weekend.  The SERC and GSC that I had planned on racing got bumped again, one I just couldn’t afford the expense and two I hadn’t put enough training time under my belt this year to make it seem worth it to me.  So what does one do when they wuss out on that much fun stuff?  I’ll tell ya what ya do, you have Cody and Hodge at Addictive Cycles build you up the dopest bike you’ve ever ridden and you ride the piss out of it.  Just like the person telling me I’d be happy at this job, had you told me four years ago when I first starting riding that I’d be happy on a fully rigid single speed, then I’d have said that you were out of your damn mind foo’!  But I have to admit, my Vassago has been the best hard tail bike that I’ve owned yet.
Anyway there’s more that I could go on about, but I’m at work at need to actually get busy coralling crackheads so I’ll leave you with some well wishes for a weekend full of good rides.  Hope to see y’all out there in the dirt or on the road and I promise to keep writing just as long as y’all keep coming back.  Thanks again
POAS,
