Enough with the scheduling conflicts already.....
So I get into work this morning and start my daily routine of checking websites and other blogs, when I catch a mention that the SSWC'08 venue has been choosen and it's coming back to the states! Excited now I start my internet search for more information, digging through website after website hoping to garnish a little info on when it will be held, frantically I search page after page, nuclear physicists on the verge of developing a new global renewable energy source don't move this fast. Finally I find it, all signs point to an August race, sweet! August in Napa would kick ass, and the weather would likely be perfect and the ratio of single speeders to alcoholic beverages would be amazingly proportional.......wait a min (logic side of my brain kicking in now) isn't there something important that I have to do come August 2008? Isn't there somewhere I have to be, and a score I have to settle? AWWWW SHIT! August 2008 Mt Washington Hill Climb, how could I possibly forget about my grudge match that's already been scheduled for 2008? For those of you not familiar with my relationship to the rock pile, this past year I drove all the way with the help of Scott Hodge from www.addictivecycles.com from Georgia to New Hampshire with the intention of climbing to the top of that damn mountain only to be turned away because of sub freezing temps and 80+ mph winds at the summit. Dissapointment doesn't begin to describe it, but just like Ahnold said...."I'll be back"

So what now? Well hopefully someone will decide that September would make for a better race date. SSWC'08 is going to RAWK! and I hope to be a part of it.
