Killin' in the name of....
Saturday is coming quick, I'm set to race the Tumbling Creek 6 hr at Gainesville College. I'm racing Solo Single Speed category, why? B/c no one will have me for a team and I like pain. Which is exactly what I plan on dealing out to anyone dumb enough to tangle with me come race day. Hodge tried a few weeks back at Yargo and we all know what happened to him, that's right into the wall!
So Code Red calls me yesterday to tell me that he's got his new weapon of choice all built up and it's looking mean. It's a Vasago Jaberwocky in black, and built out it's right at about 22 lbs. Of course he's being modest and trying not to brag as he tells me this, but I can hear the underlying message. Punk even goes so far as to tell me that he's not feeling good and hasn't been on his bike hardly at all lately. Can't fool me with such sandbaggin tactics Code Red, it's on!
So now I'm left to the same decisions that I'm always left to before one of these things, which tires to run, what should I bring to eat, do i start the morning off with coffee or a beer, what playlist to select for the iPod, if the sky were green would we ever know where to stop cutting our lawns........ oh wait, that last one is just my everyday ramblings, nothing to do w/ the race.
Oh and Al Brown, you might be racing clydesdale, but when I see you on Saturday I'm gonna come at you like spider monkey all hopped up on Mountain Dew! It's on foo'
