F'in thieves
So I just read on Harlan blog that his house was broken into and his IF mountain bike was stolen along with an air compressor and several power tools that were being used to renovate his house. To top it off they also got some computer and camera equipment as well. He had left the house to go to the hardware store and was only gone 40 minutes, in that time they managed to break in and make off with all of that. It sucks not only because they stole from him, but the bike they stole was his own personal ride and not one that IF had supplied to him to race on, rather one that he had paid for just like the rest of us do, out of his own pocket. I hope they catch those pieces of trash and give them the sentence they deserve.
Skipped my Wednesday ride in favor of doing a core workout, every time I got ready to leave the house it would either rain a little more or something would happen that would keep me tied up at the house. So after a few failed attempts I decided that it was best to workout instead of riding.
Not much else to report other than Davis and I went to the sneak preview of the new National Treasure movie, I lucked into some tickets from the Dunwoody Cycling Group that I sometimes ride with. Traffic was a nightmare getting down there, and we both missed the first 20 minutes, but the rest of the movie is great. If you liked the first one then you're going to like the sequal. They followed trend for this one and there was no cursing or anything else that you wouldn't want a five year old to see. I'm not big on sheltering people, but for those that have kids it's nice to know that there are still films being made for the mainstream audience that you can take your whole family to.
That's all for now, dress warm and get out and ride.
